3.1 Phillip Lim

Before I left for Vegas I stopped by Shoefty and picked up a new purse. Michael hooked me up and I walked out with this 3.1 Phillip Lim purse. I've been wanting a new purse for work and I had my eye on this one since the first time I saw it. Since I carry so much crap in my purse I wanted something with lots of room and no discernible logos(not a fan of status bags). I also didn't want another black purse/bag. I want to be able to use my purse for years and years without it feeling dated. BTW, I'm in love with anything Phillip Lim makes. It's very fresh and modern. It's pieces that you'll put away and bring back in 10 years.

Cochon

I forgot to mention that before I left for Vegas my friend Michael and I went to Couchon in the Warehouse District. It's high end cajun restaurant by Donald Link. He's also got Herbsaint which is pretty good. A friend of mine was a bartender there. It was really good. One of the things we tried was rabbit dumplings. As all of you know I'm a huge rabbit fan and their dumplings did not disappoint. Their boudin balls were just as good too. Check it out. http://www.cochonrestaurant.com/

NBA playoffs

So I was driving home from work on Friday afternoon after working for a couple of hours since I didn't get home from Vegas til 2:00am that day and one of my favorite clients called me to ask if I wanted playoff tickets to the Hornets vs. Mavericks. Of course I was hell yeah. As I was driving over to his office I thought that the tickets were going to be crappy seats but when I got my hands on them I saw that they were freakin great seats. We were in the sixteen row which are phenomenal seats. Anyway, I invited my friend Mark. Ladies remember he is still free and available. Check out his website to see his work. http://www.markrosenbohm.com He's very talented. I just ordered the creole cottage canvas. Anyway we had lots of fun cheering on the Hornets and CP3. I never really thought much of Chris Paul until last night. He and David West are incredible. CP3 for MVP. We grabbed a drink at my favorite bar, Roberts. It's the cheapest place in town to drink I think. It's not really a dive bar but more like a college locals kind of place. Great jukebox. Here's some pics of the game and me with my 40K smile(I'll tell you that story later).

Vegas

OK, everyone knows that every year I go out to Las Vegas for the NAB convention. Anyway, most years it's me and my sixty year old co-workers out there. They aren't all sixty but I have very little in common with them so after a couple of days out there I'm bored. We do lots of networking and entertaining with clients and vendors. Which means lots of booze. Although that sounds like fun after a couple of days it's hard work. Anyway this year my friend Robin, who used to live here but now lives in Los Angeles meet me out in Vegas for a few days. I decided to fly in early to catch a show and dinner with a friend and basically chill out before the convention started. Got to see the Cirque de Soleil show LOVE. It was pretty amazing. I think I've been out to Vegas for this convention like 15 years and I've never been able to see a show. Anyway Vegas seems like lots of fun if you're out with your boyfriend and/or girlfriends for the weekend. Here's me and Robin I and another friend named Robin. We are at a Fujinon party at the Four Seasons. It's a really good party b/c the food and booze are free flowing and they usually have a pretty decent band. Anyway I had bad bad allergies and not even Benadryl helped them. I was pretty miserable the last couple of days especially at night when the ole nasal drip got going. Anyway other than that it was great. I didn't gamble or shop this trip. A first for me although I did go in search of the Christian Louboutin store that just opened at the Palazzo shops in the Venetian. I walked around and around for it with no luck and too lazy to ask someone. I guess that's God's way of saying I don't need anymore shoes. If I had found it I'd probably buy a pair of Mary Janes maybe in red patent leather. I do want a black pair but like one of my last posts says I've got at least twenty pairs of black heels. I'll post more pictures of the trip after Robin I sends me them.

Updates

Sorry that I haven't posted lately. I left town on the 11th and was on the road(Jackson, MS) on Monday and Tuesday so I ran out of time to update my blog. I will be updating it later with pictures of Las Vegas. Although it is work I did manage to have some fun with my friend Robin who meet me out there for a couple of days. Anyway I'm back and I'll probably hibernate this weekend to fully recover from my allergies. XOXO

FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS TAYLOR!

Today is my Godchild's 15th birthday. Although I won't be there for her birthday or party I have sent her a little present for her special day. It's present in a lil blue box. I have also planned a trip for her and her cousin who is turning fifteen next month. We are going to NYC. Happy Birthday, Taylor Baby.

Friday Update

So spring is upon us. It's really beautiful here in New Orleans. The temperature is just right. New Orleans is perfect in the fall and spring. It's sunny and warm. Winter isn't bad here either except when the temperature drops becasue the humidity makes it feel much colder. Since the weather has officially changed I decided to put all my winter clothes away and par down my winter wardrobe. I'm getting better at getting rid of clothes but it is not easy for me. I think I have some pack ratishness. Anyway, I brought out my summer clothes and I'll probably go through my closet this wknd and par it down a bit also. I've got to get ready for Vegas and all.
